Founded in 1986, Feudi di San Gregorio is today the symbolic mark of the enological renaissance of southern Italy and of a culture of drinking; a time of rediscovering the identity of Mediterranean flavors. To protect the tradition while pursuing all the potential. Enhancing the wines of Southern Italy such as Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, investing in the land and in the secular traditions of Irpinian viticulture, restoring a future to a unique environmental harmony. Today Feudi di San Gregorio is – and wants to be more and more – a place of encounter, of confrontation, of knowledge, of meditation, a laboratory of ideas and culture.

In Irpinia – land of ancient viticultural tradition – the vineyards coexist forever with fruit trees, forests, olives and aromatic herbs. In other words, they have always been part of our lives. The original nucleus of the vineyards of Feudi di San Gregorio are found in the zone of Sorbo Serpico, where the winery rises; in time, this is joined by the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi and Santa Paolina, perched on hils ranging from 350 to 700 meters elevation. This is from a beginning of about 30 hectaresto over 300 today.

What make our wines unique are our extraordinary vineyards and the richness of our terroir: calcareous and volcanic soils create the ideal conditions for the viticulture.We are conscious of the greatness of our territory and of our tradition and we are committed to protect our land with agronomic interventions always aimed at protecting the original ecosystem.

From simple and essential lines, the winery proposes to gradually transport people in the world of wine; a house of wine and of hospitality that offers the ideal spaces for those who want to savor the genuine time of rest. The new winery, inaugurated in 2004, is the fruit of a research aimed at combining the depth of our tradition with a futuristic architectural design.

On the hills to Sorbo Serpico, you will enter in a magical word, entoured by unexpected water flows, rare roses and gardens of aromatic herbs. The most wonderful surprise - however - awaits you in the cellar: the long barriquerie, the station for the production of our DUBL (spumante), other niches evoking the tradition of our viticulture. The structure - mainly developed underneath the soil thus limiting any environmental impact - is perfectly integrated with the territory and the overall landscape. Our intent is to go "beyond the cellar" by creating an agorà, where meditation, rencontre, exchange of ideas and knowledge, cultural activities...all this can happen, accompanied by our wines and our unique gastronomy. Renowned architects participated to the project: japanese Hikaru Mori made all the different structures - created over time - coexist harmonically while Massimo and Lella Vignelli, symbols of Italian design and creator of our labels, designed all interiors.

The spirit that is the soul of Feudi di San Gregorio cannot take her to look outside her original boundaries: a project with which the company wants to look back – in different territories of Irpinia, but also difficult and forgotten – the true experience always in great respect of the local tradition. Thus, our “landing place” in Vulture in Basilicata and in the area of Manduria in Puglia.

The restaurant Marennà is the maximum expression of our hospitality. A place of encountering, confronting and arousal where the guest, the traveler, discovers the Irpinian and Campanian gastronomic tradition. Marennà, from the Latin “merere” (to deserve), recalls something that should be worthy, a refreshment earned with fatigue, a condition that should be satisfied.

The "marenna", forever a protagonist of the life of our countrymen, often consisted of a light meal, consumed outdoors and finishing with a generous glass. For Feudi di San Gregorio, Marennà is having a snack. Marennà is also the culture of eating well, where the detailed research, the the refined detail, the warm welcome, the view of the kitchen give one pause and a true and real experience of the senses; Chef Paolo Barrale awaits you.
